Kenneth Hiner Photography Advances to the Quarterfinals in the People’s Artist Competition

I am excited and incredibly grateful to share that I have officially made it to the quarterfinal round of the 2026 People’s Artist competition.

This contest has already been an amazing experience, and making it this far means more to me than I can properly put into words. As a photographer, videographer, drone pilot, and lifelong Memphian, my work has always been about more than just taking pictures. It has been about telling stories, preserving moments, documenting people, and capturing the places and events that matter to our community.

Over the years, photography has taken me into moments I never could have imagined — from public safety events and community gatherings to portraits, sports, ceremonies, celebrations, and quiet moments that deserve to be remembered. Every image has been part of a larger story, and this competition has given me the chance to share that work with a much wider audience.

Making it to the quarterfinals would not have happened without the support of friends, family, clients, coworkers, and so many people who have taken the time to vote, share, encourage me, and keep pushing me forward. I am truly thankful for every single person who has helped me get to this point.

From this round forward, the competition gets even tougher. Votes reset with each new level, which means continued support is extremely important.
